Not sure how much the 50-100 is due to spatial awareness of the drivers vs. just which cars accelerate fastest. There doesn't seem to be a ton of correlation between teammates from 0-50, likely making that more driver-dependent, but 50-100 is a much different case.
There are several examples during the past races where if a car ahead had a poor start, the driver behind had to sometimes take an evading action to avoid a collision. Take a look at the Monaco start from 2021 here - https://youtu.be/GK5qm8AZ1dQ?t=23 , there are probably better examples but this ones shows Max positioning the car to get the optimal line to apex while leaving no chance for Lewis to overtake. Yes, we also have setup and car making its impact however since 50-100 almost happens within 2 seconds, we can ignore car setup. I'll look into the data and see if any improvements are possible.
